RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH PARK HILL CEMETERY ASSOCIATION FOR THE USE OF PARK HILL PROPERTY FOR RECREATIONAL TRAIL PURPOSES.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute the attached 25 year license agreement with Park Hill Cemetery Association (“Park Hill”) that allows the city to use a portion of Park Hill owned property, as depicted on Exhibit A, for public recreational trail purposes, at no cost to the city.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to approve a license agreement between the city and Park Hill Cemetery Association (“Park Hill”) that allows the public to use a specified portion of the land owned by Park Hill as part of the Duluth Traverse Trail at no monetary cost to the city. The Duluth Traverse Trail is a popular multi-use natural surface trail used by mountain bikers, hikers, runners, dog walkers, and other outdoor recreation enthusiasts. The Park Hill property is located between the Hunters Park and Woodland neighborhoods and is an important connection point for the residents of these neighborhoods.
