RESOLUTION UPDATING DULUTH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY’S FEE SCHEDULE

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the Duluth Economic Development Authority (“DEDA”) is tasked with promoting and facilitating economic development within the City of Duluth.
WHEREAS, DEDA periodically reviews its fee structure to ensure that it aligns with current economic conditions, operational costs, and industry standards, and to ensure that the DEDA can continue to effectively carry out its mission;
WHEREAS, a comprehensive review has been conducted of the existing fee schedule, and it has been determined that updates are necessary to reflect current costs, enhance operational efficiency, and support the DEDA’s strategic goals;
WHEREAS, the updated fee schedule has been proposed and presented to the DEDA Board for consideration, and public notice and comments have been duly addressed in accordance with applicable regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DEDA does hereby adopt the attached updated “DEDA Fee Schedule”;
FURTHER RESOLVED, that any fees established by any prior resolution inconsistent or conflicting with those set forth in said fee schedule are hereby superseded and of no future effect.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to approve an updated fee schedule for the Duluth Economic Development Authority (“DEDA”). This action authorizes the new fees to take effect upon approval. This update aims to align fees with current economic conditions, operational costs, and industry standards to support DEDA’s mission effectively.
