CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Northland Constructors of Duluth for the Railroad Street Rehabilitation Project, City Project No. 1463, in the amount of $2,481,800. Payable out of Fund 440, Department/Agency 038 (Special Assessment Contracts), Object 5530 (Improvements other than Buildings), City Project No. 1463.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes City Officials to enter into a contract for the Railroad Street Rehabilitation Project with Northland Constructors of Duluth in the amount of $2,481.800. Northland Constructors was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate for the project was $2,500,000. The project will replace pavement, street lighting, and traffic signal systems that are past their design lives.
The working fund for this project will be Fund 440, with contributions from Federal Aid funds, Municipal State Aid funds, Street System Maintenance funds (290), Street Lighting Fund (550).
