CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth for the Devonshire Street Reconstruction and Lincoln Park Middle School Safe Routes to School Improvements, City Project Number 2101, in the amount of $1,077,500.00. The working fund for this project is Street Improvement Fund 440, Department/Agency 038 (Special Assessment Contracts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), City Project No. 2101. The funding sources for this project will be Water Utility funds, Storm Water Utility funds, Sanitary Utility funds, a MNDOT Safe Routes to School Grant, Street Improvement Sales Tax Fund 291, and the Permanent Improvement fund.

 

                                          

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize the Devonshire Street Reconstruction and Lincoln Park Middle School Safe Routes to School Improvement Project by Northland Constructors of Duluth in the amount of $1,077,500. Northland Constructors of Duluth was the lowest responsible bidder of the five companies that responded.  The engineer’s estimate was $1,150,304.00.  Payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Project Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), City Project No. 2101, requisition no. 23-99452.
