CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that contract L31052 with Short Elliot Hendrickson, Inc. for professional engineering services for project 2249 “Lead Service Line Replacement - Lincoln Park 4”, be amended (substantially in the form of attached Exhibit A) to include additional design services beyond the initial scope, and to increase the amount by $29,400 for a new total of $361,470.00 payable from fund 510-500-1905-5533; UtilB-2249 (water; Public Works and Utilities, capital (incl deprec/debt svc); capital improvements - revenue; utility projects budgeted; Lincoln LSLR 4).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends contract L31052 with Short Elliot Hendrickson, Inc., increasing it by $29,400.00 for a new total of $361,470.00. This amendment is necessary to revise the design scope to increase the number of lead water service replacements to include additional addresses identified within the project area, to perform review of potential environmental contaminants in the project area and distribute water sample bottles for lead identification. The additional engineering will use capital funds payable from Water Utility Fund 510, Department 500 (Public Works and Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), City project no. 2249. This project is listed on the Public Facilities Authority Drinking Water Revolving Fund 2025 Intended Use Plan and the City will seek reimbursement for all design and construction costs.
