RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY ESTABLISHING THE LAKE SUPERIOR FORENSIC TECHNOLOGY TASK FORCE.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a Joint Powers Agreement, substantially in the form of the attached Document A, with St. Louis County, to establish the Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force whose general purpose is to coordinate efforts to apprehend and prosecute offenders who utilize digital technology. Contributed funds received to 215-200-2251-4474 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force, Forfeitures) and 215-200-2251-4654 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force, Other Reimbursements) and expenses paid from 215-200-2251-5201 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force, Computer Supplies/Software), 215-200-2251-5241 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force, Small Equip-Office/Operating), 215-200-2251-5320 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force, Data Services), 215-200-2251-5414 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force, Software Licenses and Maintenance Agreements).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to execute a Joint Powers Agreement with St. Louis County establishing the Lake Superior Forensic Technology Task Force and naming the City of Duluth as the coordinating agency of said task force.
