CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into agreements with the BNSF Railroad Company, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A and Exhibit B, for the construction of improvements at the BNSF Railroad track crossings at 59^th Ave W. and 63^rd Ave W. respectively in the City of Duluth.  The City’s cost is estimated to be $100,000, to be paid from Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), City Project no. 2149 requisition 2023-99000638.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes crossing surface installation agreements with the BNSF Railroad Company for construction of improvements to the BNSF Railroad Company’s crossings at 59^th Ave W. and 63^rd Ave W. in the City of Duluth. This work will be funded through the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other Than Buildings), City Project no. 2149, requisition number 2023-99000638.
