RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY AND THE DULUTH AIRPORT AUTHORITY FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR AN INTERSECTION CONTROL EVALUATION OF HAINES ROAD, AIRPORT ROAD AND GRINDEN DRIVE IN THE CITY OF DULUTH.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with St. Louis County and the Duluth Airport Authority, substantially in the form attached hereto, for preliminary engineering services for the Haines Road and Airport Road Intersection Control Evaluation Project in the City of Duluth. The City’s cost will be one-third (1/3) of the cost of the study with a not-to-exceed a cost of $10,000, to be paid from Fund 411, Department/Agency 038 (Public Works and Utilities), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), St. Louis County project CP 0091-860958, City Project No. 2241.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a cooperative agreement with St. Louis County and the Duluth Airport Authority for preliminary engineering services for an intersection control evaluation study of the intersection of Haines Road (CSAH 91), Airport Road (MSAS 197), and Grinden Drive. The County will lead a solicitation to procure a consultant to perform the work with the City and Airport Authority involved in the selection and completion of the study. The City and County will use the results of the study prepared to determine the scope and nature of future intersection improvements. This work will be funded through the Permanent Improvement Fund with Municipal State Aid funds.
