RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT L30023 WITH KARGES-FAULCONBRIDGE, INC., FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES TO CONVERT BUILDINGS ON SUPERIOR STREET FROM A STEAM TO HOT WATER DISTRICT ENERGY SYSTEM FOR AN INCREASE OF $90,010 AND A NEW TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED $179,510.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to amend an agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with Kargis-Faulconbridge, Inc. (KFI) for additional mechanical engineering services related to the steam to hot water conversion of buildings along Superior Street to increase the contract by $90,010 and a new total amount not to exceed $179,510, payable from fund 540-920-1499-5530 (Steam; Steam Department; Steam Non-Operating; Improvements Other than Buildings).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to agreement L30023 with KFI for additional mechanical engineering and design services needed to produce biddable construction plans and specifications for the secondary side conversions required for the Phase 1 buildings.
