CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Advanced Masonry Restoration, Inc. for parking ramp rehabilitation repairs at various City of Duluth parking ramps for a total amount not to exceed $168,348.00, payable from fund 505-015-1480-2511-5405 (parking fund, Public Administration, off-street parking, HART district ramp, parking lot maintenance); and from fund 505-015-1480-2513-5405 (parking fund, Public Administration, off-street parking, municipal lots, parking lot maintenance).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Advanced Masonry Restoration, Inc. for parking ramp rehabilitation repairs at various City of Duluth parking ramps for an amount not to exceed $168,348.00. This work will address necessary repairs to the structure's parking deck and support system in order to ensure it remains safe and operational. These are budgeted operational expenses.
Purchasing issued an invitation to bid on May 22, 2024, and received 6 responsive bids as listed below. Advanced Masonry Restoration, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid. Due to the lowest responsive bid being higher than the current budget for repairs, the engineer and city worked with Advanced Masonry Restoration, Inc. to reduce the scope of work to align with the 2024 budget. The eliminated work items will likely be addressed during the 2025 budget year, if possible.
