CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Alliant Engineering, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, to provide professional engineering design services for the 6th Avenue East Reconditioning Project, payable out of Permanent Improvement fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 2195.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with Alliant Engineering, for professional engineering design services for the reconditioning of 6th Avenue East from East 2nd Street to Mesaba Avenue. Street Maintenance Levy and Lead Water Service funds will be used for construction. Due to the complexity and time frame of bidding this project, the city requested the services of a consultant engineer to support a staff lead design project. Alliant Engineering was directly selected for the work due to their familiarity with the corridor and the limited scope and value of the work. The engineering will use budgeted capital funds payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 2195.
