RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF GAS PROJECT COORDINATOR.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of gas project coordinator (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on March 6, 2018, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city’s collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees and compensated at Pay Range 32, $4,693 to $5,531 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The existing classification of gas project coordinator was revised to update for actual leading and coordinating duties the position is responsible for, reduce years of experience requirements so as not to limit the potential applicant pool of qualified candidates, and remove unnecessary licensure requirements. There is no change in the rate of pay, which remains Pay Range 32, $4,693 to $5,531 per month.
