CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into agreements to amend lakewalk trail license agreements and to enter into an escrow agreement with the St. Louis and Lake Counties Regional Railroad Authority, substantially in the form of the attached agreements, for the improvement and relocation of the lakewalk railroad crossings near Veterans Memorial Park and 28th Ave E respectively.  The City’s cost is estimated to be $376,000, to be paid from Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 2284, requisition no.2025-99000494.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes amendments to lakewalk trail license agreements and entering into an escrow agreement with the St. Louis and Lake Counties Regional Railroad Authority to improve and relocate the railroad crossings near Veterans Memorial Park and 28th Ave E respectively. The work is necessary to accommodate trail improvements to the lakewalk being constructed by the City in a separate project, city project no. 2193. This work will be funded by the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other Than Buildings), city project no. 2284, requisition no. 2025-99000494.
