CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a grade crossing and maintenance agreement with BNSF Railway Company, a Delaware corporation (“BNSF”), substantially in the form as the agreement attached as Exhibit 1, for the removal of an at-grade BNSF rail crossing on Raleigh Street, payable from Fund 411-035-5530, City Project No. 2057
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a grade crossing and maintenance agreement with BNSF Railway Company, a Delaware corporation (“BNSF”), for the removal of an at-grade rail crossing on Raleigh Street, for approximately $13,965.00.
The at-grade rail crossing to be removed is on Raleigh Street approximately 500’ east of Grand Avenue.
BNSF requires that the City enters into this agreement to allow the removal of the crossing, and the construction of the new road as part of the Raleigh Street Reconstruction Project, City Project No. 2057.
