CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with Out There Advertising, Inc. for marketing and public awareness advertising services and a contract total not to exceed Two Hundred Nine Thousand, One Hundred and no/100ths dollars ($209,100.00), payable from Gas Fund 520; Department of Public Works and Utilities 500; Customer Services 1940; Information and Conservation 2430, Advertising & Promotion 5340.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with Out There Advertising, Inc. to provide advertising and media services that will promote public awareness of the services available and the safety of ComfortSystems’ natural gas utility. Services to be provided include media planning, development, and purchasing, as well as the tracking of Department messages, as stated in their proposal dated December 8, 2016. A copy of the proposal is included as an attachment to Exhibit A.
The Purchasing Division issued a request for proposals on November 18, 2016, and received one proposal by the due date. Public Works & Utilities staff reviewed the proposal and desire to continue the relationship with Out There Advertising, Inc. by entering into a new three-year agreement, beginning in 2017 and ending on December 31, 2019.
