CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Short Elliot Hendrickson (SEH) substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, to provide professional engineering design services for the Canal Park Drive Rehabilitation project in the amount of $102,495, payable from fund 411-035-5530; PI2026-1975 (permanent improvement, Capital Projects Accounts, improvements other than buildings; permanent improvement projects, Canal Park Drive Reconditioning).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with Short Elliot Hendrickson for professional engineering design services for the Canal Park Drive Rehabilitation project. This rehabilitation project is necessary to repair concrete joint wear that has occurred over years and includes a project area from Railroad Street to Buchanon Street. This project also replaces the street lighting within the project limits. Federal funds will be used for construction. Due to the complexity of bidding a federally funded project and the specialty work with concrete pavement, the city requested the services of a consultant engineer.
