RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE SUB-RECIPIENT FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH ISD 709 ADULT BASIC EDUCATION TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TRAINING SERVICES NECESSARY TO PREPARE CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS, AND INCREASING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $8,318.41 FOR A NEW CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $71,918.41.

CITY PROPOSAL:

                     RESOLVE, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a first amendment to the sub-recipient funding agreement (city contract no. 23566) with ISD 709 Adult Basic Education, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, to provide additional training services necessary to prepare certified nursing assistants, and increasing the contract amount by $8,318.41 for a new total amount not to exceed $71,918.41, payable from fund 268-031-6228 (workforce development fund, workforce development department, miscellaneous grants).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize a first amendment to a sub-recipient funding agreement between ISD 709 Adult Basic Education and the City of Duluth allocating an additional $8,318.41 for a new total amount not to exceed $71,918.41 payable from fund 268-031-6228.  This amendment is to provide additional training services necessary to prepare certified nursing assistants and is funded 100% through the state of Minnesota’s Pathways to Prosperity grant from DEED.
