CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a master subscriber agreement, substantially in the form of the attached document A, with the state of Minnesota, office of state court administration, and any subsequent amendment or agreement that may be required by the state of Minnesota, to provide the Duluth police department with access to appropriate electronic court records and documents stored in the Minnesota court information system for cases in Minnesota district courts.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement between the city of Duluth police department and the state of Minnesota, office of state court administration, to provide the police department with continuing access to appropriate electronic court records and documents stored in the Minnesota court information system for cases in Minnesota. The police department needs the access for legitimate law enforcement purposes. The state of Minnesota has recently changed their system and this has prompted the need to sign a new subscriber agreement so that the police department’s access may continue uninterrupted.
