RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXEMPTION OF A RAFFLE LICENSE AND WAIVING THE 60 DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR MARCH OF DIMES FOUNDATION.

CITY PROPOSAL:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Duluth City Council hereby approves of the Minnesota gambling control board issuing a lawful gambling exemption to the March of Dimes Foundation and does hereby waive the 60 day waiting period which it has to object to the issuance of said exemption.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Minnesota gambling control board immediately after its passage
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The state requires a 60 day waiting period for all raffle licenses to allow the city to review the application. This resolution will waive the 60 day waiting period for the March of Dimes Foundation.
