RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF STREET MAINTENANCE MANAGER, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of street maintenance manager (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on December 6, 2016, are approved; that said classification shall be subject to the city’s collective bargaining agreement with its supervisory unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 1115-1130, $6,210 to $8,012 per month.  The proper city officials are authorized to execute and implement an agreement with the union to provide for employing one or more unit members consistent with this resolution.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of street maintenance manager has been created to oversee the street maintenance division.  The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 1115-1130, $6,210 to $8,012 per month.
