CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept an award from the United States department of agriculture, forest service law enforcement and investigations, in the amount of $1,750 to be used for approved equipment reimbursement to the city of Duluth for the Lake Superior drug and violent crime task force and authorizing city officials to execute the Cooperative Law Enforcement Annual Operating Plan and Financial Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit A,  funds to be deposited in fund no. 215-200-2285-4209-02 (Duluth police grant programs, police, forest service law enforcement grant, direct federal grants operating), and expenses to be paid from fund no. 215-200-2285-5241 (Duluth police grant programs, police, forest service law enforcement grant, small equipment-office/operating).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The Duluth Police Department is a member of the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.  The City of Duluth is the authorized fiscal agent for the Task Force and has been awarded a United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Law Enforcement and Investigations grant in the amount of $1,750. This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to accept the award and execute the operating and financial plan. The award monies will be used to reimburse approved equipment purchases for technical investigative services. The estimated award period is June 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
