Body
CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a five-year master services agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with Twin Ports Testing II, Inc. doing business as Twin Ports Testing, for professional geotechnical and material testing services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems for an annual amount not to exceed $50,000 and a total contract amount not to exceed $250,000, payable from various appropriate funds, departments, agencies and objects, Project 1722.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a five-year master services agreement with Twin Ports Testing for professional geotechnical and material testing services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems on a non-exclusive, as-needed basis.
This agreement will be one of four blanket purchase agreements for geotechnical and materials testing, with projects ordered and billed on an hourly basis pursuant to a city-issued, written statement of work or similar document. By having agreements with multiple firms in place, the engineering division has the flexibility to order and complete testing in a timely manner based on a particular company’s expertise and availability. The agreements do not guarantee that a minimum amount of services will be ordered from a particular vendor, and the agreements may be terminated at any time.
