CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Commercial Irrigation for the Enger Golf Course irrigation improvements for a total amount not to exceed $4,646,619.00, payable from fund 503-400-RENO-5530-ENGRRENO-PHASE1 (golf, parks and recreation, Enger renovation, improvements other than buildings, Enger golf course renovation, Enger golf course renovation phase 1).

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Commercial Irrigation for Enger Golf Course irrigation improvements for an amount not to exceed $4,646,619.00.

This contract is pursuant to two City Council resolutions:
19-0358R: establishing a long-term plan for preservation of public golf via renewal of failing Enger Park Golf Course infrastructure including the irrigation system
21-0751R: approving an Enger Park Golf Course renovation plan
The scope of work for irrigation improvements includes the removal of the existing irrigation equipment and installation of the new system on 18 of 27 holes, intended to make significant improvements in the course and golf experience

Other work scopes for the Enger Golf Course project were bid out separately.

Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on February 28th, 2023 and received one bid as listed below. Commercial Irrigation submitted the lowest responsive bid.

This project is part of a larger $5.5 million Phase I irrigation system replacement project that will include a new water storage facility (i.e. an irrigation pond), new pumps, new control system, and new irrigation piping and sprinkler heads on 18 of 27 holes.
