CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with RTL Equipment, Inc., for use of a trommel screener for a total amount of $21,300.00, payable from fund 290-500-5415; (street system maint utility, Public Works and Utilities, vehicle/equip rent (short-term)).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a lease agreement with RTL Equipment, Inc., for the short-term use of a trommel screener for a total amount of $21,300.00.
Street Maintenance uses trommel screeners to process raw street sweepings collected from the streets in the City of Duluth. The screener filters out the garbage collected during the street sweeping operations so it can be disposed of appropriately. Street Maintenance will be renting the equipment for one month at $17,000.00. The fee for the equipment pick-up and drop-off is $4,300.00, bringing the total cost of the agreement to $21,300.00.
