CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a services agreement, substantially in the form attached hereto as Document A, authorizing the hiring of a social service outreach professional and further authorizing the city to reimburse the Greater Downtown Council for the cost of the social service outreach professional in an amount not to exceed $100,000 per year for a term of three years, said costs to be paid from fund number 226-125-5005 (Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, Finance, Public Safety Programs).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the execution of a services agreement with the Greater Downtown Council whereby the Greater Downtown Council will hire a social service outreach worker as part of a social outreach program to further improve the quality of life for all within the Downtown Waterfront District and further authorizing the city to reimburse the Greater Downtown Council for the cost of the social outreach worker in an amount not to exceed $100,000 per year for three years. The funding source for the reimbursement of said costs is the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund provided through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
