RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE-TIME 2024 EMPLOYEE RETENTION BONUS TO BE PAID TO ALL REGULAR FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF DULUTH ON JANUARY 1, 2024.

 

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

                     RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute

and implement a one-time retention bonus to all regular full-time and regular part-time employees employed by the City of Duluth on January 1, 2024 in the following amounts:

                     (a)                     Regular Full-Time Employees: Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($2,500.00);

                     (b)                     Regular Part-Time Employees (.50 and .75): One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,250.00).

                     FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute and implement memorandums of understanding, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, amending the current collective bargaining agreements with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 101, Local 66 of A.F.S.C.M.E. Council 5, Confidential Unit of the City of Duluth, Law Enforcement Labor Services Local 503, Law Enforcement Labor Services Local 363, Law Enforcement Labor Services Local 538, and the City of Duluth Supervisory Association approving the one-time retention bonus.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes city officials to implement a one-time retention bonus to all regular part-time and full-time city employees, including non-represented employees, employed by the city on January 1, 2024. It further authorizes city officials to execute memorandums of understanding amending each of the current collective bargaining agreements the city is party to reflecting the one-time retention bonus.
