CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of senior human resources generalist (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on November 28, 2023, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its confidential unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 11, pay rate of $77,307 to $93,658 per year.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of senior human resources generalist has been created to reflect the expert knowledge and experience level of a seasoned HR generalist, while providing an advancement opportunity within human resources. This position will deliver a broad range of high-level professional HR services and will provide mentorship and training to other generalists. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 11, pay rate of $77,307 to $93,658 per year.
