CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with Wetland Habitat Restorations, Inc. for site restoration services on land adjacent to the Western Waterfront Trail (WWT), for a total amount not to exceed $165,400, payable from 452-030-5530; HANDHTAX-15-01-01 (Tourism & Recreational Projects, Finance, Improvements Other than Buildings; Half & Half Tax Projects, Western Waterfront Trail, Corridor Restoration).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Wetland Habitat Restoration, Inc. for Phase 2 of the Western Waterfront Trail Restoration project. This phase of the project includes native plant restoration and the removal and control of non-native invasive species including common buckthorn, Eurasian honeysuckles, Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) noxious weeds, and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) invasive species from 130 acres within City land adjacent to the Western Waterfront Trail.
Purchasing issued an Invitation for Bids on May 23, 2017, and received three bids. Wetland Habitat Restorations submitted the lowest bid.
