RESOLVED, that the assessment roll levied for reassessment of the following prior canceled assessments is hereby confirmed.

 

(a)                     15 S 67th Ave W; Plat 0580, Parcel 02140

New Owner:  Jesse Larson

Delinquent Administrative Fine (Contract 2014011); $1,532.00 to be deposited in Fund 110

 

(b)                     830 N 24th Ave W; Plat 4050, Parcel 00010

New Owner: Taidg Kennedy-Lares

2011 Delinquent Garbage (Contract 2011420); $185.56 to be deposited in Fund 110

2014 Delinquent Garbage (Contract 2014010); $127.03 to be deposited in Fund 110

 

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution confirms the assessment roll for the reassessment of prior canceled assessments.  The properties were in tax forfeit status and have been purchased through St. Louis County’s Land Department.

 

A public hearing was held by the Special Assessments Board on May 10 and their recommendation is to reassess the properties for the original assessment amount, removing all penalties and interest incurred.

 

It is the Special Assessment Board’s policy to reassess the principal balance and collection fees for the most recent 4 years (not necessarily recent or consecutive) of delinquent garbage.  This policy was agreed upon between the Board and local garbage companies based on service provided by the hauler.

 

It is the Special Assessment Board’s policy to reassess the principal balance and collection fee for outstanding administrative fines because the fine is assessable against the property.
