CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to amend agreement L30697 with Rachel Contracting, LLC for the Brighton Beach Lakeshore Stabilization project for additional planting and watering services as detailed in the attached proposal as Exhibit A, and to increase the amount by $18,759.18 for a new total of $1,519,230.68, payable from fund 225-125-1815-5310-STRM1018 (disaster recovery fund, finance, storm surge October 2018, contract services, storm surge October 10, 2018).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends agreement L30697 with Rachel Contracting, LLC by an increase of $18,759.18. This change order includes costs incurred for the replacement of bareroot plants and trees that were not planted on schedule due to additional site restoration work at Brighton Beach necessitated by storm damage in November of 2022. The change order also includes additional watering services to expedite growth of the root structures.
Funding sources for this project include aid received through FEMA to repair storm damage from 2018, and from State Disaster Assistance provided to St. Louis County in 2022 to repair affected infrastructure and mitigate damage in future extreme weather.
