CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to purchase six 2016 Dodge Charger four-door police AWD vehicles from Mike Motors for a total amount of $157,470, payable from Capital Equipment Fund 250; Public Administration 015; Fiscal Year 2016; Capital Equipment 5580; Project: CE250-V1603 - Capital Equipment Fund 250, Police Vehicles.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of six 2016 Dodge Charger four-door police AWD vehicles; four without a trailer hitch, and two with a trailer hitch installed; from Mike Motors for a total of $157,470.
The new vehicles will replace the following marked squads: 9341, 9348, 9349, 9352, 9354, and 9355.
The Police Department received quotes from four vendors; the quotes provided a price per vehicle. Mike Motors offered the lowest price and was awarded the purchase. The quotes received are as follows:
Nelson Auto Center Fergus Falls, MN State Contract $27,464.71
Superior Chrysler Center Superior, WI $26,202.00
Dodge of Burnsville Burnsville, MN State Contract $26,966.00
Mike Motors Ely, MN $26,072.00
