CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment with Ever-Green Energy for additional engineering services for the Duluth Energy Systems Boiler System Redesign, for an increase of $15,200, and a new total not to exceed $258,850, payable from 540-920-1493-5310 (steam, Steam Department, steam transmission & distribution, contract services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to the agreement with Ever-Green Energy to add professional engineering services necessary to support the bidding, evaluation, and selection phases of the boiler system redesign construction project at Duluth Energy Systems. The construction project will result in retiring coal as a fuel source and allow fuel oil as the back-up fuel source for all four boilers at Duluth Energy Systems.
