RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Hanco Utilities, Inc. for the 2025 Lead Water Service Replacement- Lincoln Park Neighborhood for a total amount not to exceed $9,545,940.50, payable from the following funds
$3,001,231.75 - 510-500-1905-5533; UtilB-2082 (water; Public Works and Utilities; capital (incl deprec/debt svc); capital improvements - revenue; utility projects budgeted; 2023 lead service line remediation project 4).
$6,544,708.75 - 510-500-1905-5533: UtilB-2214 (water, Public Works and Utilities; capital (incl depec/debt svc); capital improvements - revenue; utility projects budgeted; lead service replacement 2025 - lower Lincoln)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the 2025 Lead Water Service Replacement- Lincoln Park Neighborhood by Hanco Utilities, Inc. for a total amount not to exceed $9,545,940.50. The project consists of the replacement of public and private lead water services with HDPE services, followed by surface restoration in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Purchasing issued an Invitation for Bids on January 16, 2025. Hanco Utilities, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the three companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $9,744,000.00
