CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with TruePani, Inc. for 2025 Lead Water Service Replacement - Filter Pitcher and Test Kit Services for a total amount not to exceed $290,900.00, payable from fund 510-500-1970-5219; Other Miscellaneous Supplies. City project number 2303.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize project 2025 Lead Water Service Replacement - Filter Pitcher and Test Kit Services by TruePani, Inc. for a total amount not to exceed $290,900.00. The service will provide water filter pitchers and water sample test kits to all properties participating in Duluth’s 2025 lead water service replacement projects. Providing filter pitchers and test kits is required by the EPA’s LCRR & LCRI regulations. TruePani, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $280,000.00. All project costs are anticipated to be reimbursed by the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority (MPFA) lead water service replacement funding. If the City does not receive the funding from the MPFA, the project can be put on hold.
