CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with A Plus Contractors for site improvements at Merritt Park for a total amount not to exceed $189,669, payable from fund 452-030-5530-HANDHTAX-1527-09 (tourism and recreational projects; finance; improvements other than buildings; half and half tax projects; neighborhood parks, Merritt Park).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with A Plus Contractors for the site improvements at Merritt Park for an amount not to exceed $189,669.
The Merritt Community Center building was removed in 2019 to make way for a renewed site design that would better serve the surrounding community. Improvements will include site grading, concrete sidewalks, improvements to the sport court and basketball court, installation of fencing, play area drainage & resurfacing, portable restroom enclosure, and landscaping.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on March 11, 2020, and received four bids as listed below. A Plus Contractors submitted the lowest responsive bid.
