RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $30,147 AND REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $47,932 FOR THE PURCHASE OF BALLISTIC VESTS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept ballistic vest reimbursements from the United States department of justice, bureau of justice assistance, office of justice programs, in an amount not to exceed $30,147 to be deposited in Fund 110-160-1610-4209-02 (general fund, police department, administration and investigation, federal operating grants), substantially the same as described in the attached Exhibit A. and to execute any documents required to accept the reimbursement.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept ballistic vest reimbursements from the Minnesota department of public safety in an amount not to exceed $47,932 to be deposited in Fund 110-160-1610-4220-02 (general fund police department, administration and investigation, Minnesota operating grants), substantially the same as described in the attached Exhibit A and to execute any document required to accept the reimbursement.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to accept additional money for reimbursement of police department ballistic vest purchases in an amount not exceed $30,147 from the United States department of justice, bureau of justice assistance, office of justice programs. This resolution also authorizes the city to accept reimbursement not to exceed $47,932 from the Minnesota department of public safety for the reimbursement of police department ballistic vest purchases.
