CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with MSA Professional Services, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for the Lift Station 27, 40, and 3 Rehab project in the amount of $180,446, payable out of Sanitary Fund 530, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5533 (Capital Improvements - Revenue), city project no. 2271.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with MSA Professional Services, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Lift Station 27, 40, and 3 Rehab project. This project consists of lift station upgrades including structural repairs, new pumps, electrical controls, safety upgrades, and instrumentation. Due to the complexity of the project, the city requested the services of a consulting engineer. MSA has been the consultant of record for all lift station upgrades within the last decade. As such, MSA is already familiar with the City’s sanitary system, the design of City lift stations, and the requirements of this project. City staff believes MSA is the best qualified consultant for the project.
