RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase five Ford Transit T-250 Utility Vans from Midway Ford the amount of $272,552.50, payable from the following funds:
$68,138.12 510-500-1910-5580 (water; Public Works and Utilities; rolling stock; capital equipment)
$204,414.38 520-500-1910-5580 (gas; Public Works and Utilities; rolling stock; capital equipment)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of five Ford Transit T-250 Utility Vans from Midway Ford for the amount of $272,552.50.
This purchase is budgeted for in the 2026 Capital Equipment Plan. The 2014-2015 Fleet Study found that, in order to minimize total City vehicle costs for purchase and maintenance, vehicles of this kind should be replaced before they reach 10 years in service. This purchase will replace unit 1719 2017 Chevrolet Express 3500, 1720 Chevrolet Express 3500, 1721 Chevrolet Express 3500, 1781 2013 Ford E350, 1783 2013 Ford E350. All vehicles have come to or exceeded scheduled replacement schedule. The five existing units will be sold at public auctions.
