RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ST. LOUIS COUNTY AND THE CITY OF DULUTH.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, under Resolution No. 14-0529, the city council authorized the operations and maintenance agreement between St. Louis County and the city of Duluth with regards to responsibilities for general roadway surface maintenance, which included, but not limited to, snowplowing, pavement maintenance, traffic sign maintenance and pavement marking maintenance for roadways under each agency’s respective jurisdictions.
WHEREAS, the current operations and maintenance agreement expires October 1, 2024.
WHEREAS, St. Louis County and the city of Duluth desire for the operations and maintenance agreement to be extended to October 1, 2025.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a first amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, to the operations and maintenance agreement between St. Louis County and the city of Duluth to extend the term until October 1, 2025.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize a first amendment to the operations and maintenance agreement between to St. Louis County and the city of Duluth to extend the expiration date of the agreement to October 1, 2025.
