CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a 60-month contract, in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with Waste Management for garbage/refuse removal and recycling pickup services in accordance with city-approved specifications and vendor fees, beginning December 1, 2015, at an estimated $9,600 per month, for a total 60-month contract amount of $576,000, terms net 30, FOB job sites, and payable from various funds, agencies, organizations, and objects.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a city contract with Waste Management for 60 months of garbage/refuse removal and recycling pickup services for an estimated $9,600 per month, $115,200 per year, or $576,000 for 60 months, payable from various funds.
The purchasing division posted a request for bids on October 16, 2015, and received one bid by the closing date. The purchasing agent reviewed and verified the bid submitted by Waste Management. The unsigned contract is attached as Exhibit A. The bid tabulation is attached as Exhibit B. The first contract year runs from December 1, 2015, through November 31, 2016. The contract includes an additional four one-year renewal options.
