CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of building inspections supervisor (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on June 6, 2023, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its supervisory unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 1085-1105, pay rate of $76,169 to $101,902 per year.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of building inspections supervisor has been created to oversee the applications of building codes and ordinances and provide overall supervision for the building inspectors and inspection functions of the construction services and inspections division. This includes the review of plans and permits, enforcement of building codes, providing recommendations and interpretations, and serving as the building official for the city. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 1085-1105, pay rate of $76,169 to $101,902 per year.
