CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city council approves settlement in the amount of $28,750.00 of all claims or causes of action asserted by Dana Horlocker, pursuant to a settlement agreement, attached here to as Exhibit A, and further authorizes the proper city officials to take all actions necessary to conclude this matter on a full, final and complete basis; payment to be made from Fund No. 610-036-1651-5841 (Self Insurance Liabilities, Insurance Accounts, Insurance General City, Liability Claims Expense).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes settlement with Dana Horlocker against the city arising out of an incident that took place on or about July 20, 2019 at or near 3rd Street West and 4th Avenue West, Duluth, Minnesota wherein Ms. Horlocker alleges that she suffered injuries and damages. The city has fully investigated the claims and defenses asserted in this matter. The administration and city attorney recommend approval of this settlement agreement.
