CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase a new T880 vactor truck from MacQueen Equipment, Inc for the amount of $638,260.00, payable from the following funds.
$319,130.00 from 530-500-1910-5580 (sewer; Public Works and Utilities; rolling stock; capital equipment).
$319,130.00 from 535-500-1910-5580 (stormwater; Public Works and Utilities; rolling stock; capital equipment).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of a T880 vactor truck from MacQueen Equipment, Inc for the amount of $638,260.00. Pricing for this vehicle is from Minnesota State Contract 257888, Release W-196(5).
This new vactor will replace the oldest existing one in the fleet. This vactor will be used to maintain sewer lines on the six-year cleaning schedule. It will also be used to respond to sewer backups, overflows and will assist Utility crews on main breaks and construction projects and lead service line identifications along with storm line cleaning.
