CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the state of Minnesota, acting through its department of employment and economic development, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, to provide vocational rehabilitation pre-employment transition services for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024 on a fee for service basis with total compensation not to exceed $300,000. Monies received shall be deposited into Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Transition Services) fund no. 268-031-6238-4220 (Workforce Development, Grants, ETS Fee for Service, State of MN).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The purpose of this resolution is to approve a contract with the Minnesota department of employment and economic development pursuant to which the city’s workforce development department will provide vocational rehabilitation pre-employment transition services on a fee for service basis for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024. The workforce development department will provide pre-employment transition services to individuals and groups to help students with disabilities explore, increase awareness, and prepare for post-secondary employment and education options.  A complete list of services is included in exhibit D of the contract. Total compensation for all work may not exceed $300,000.
