CITY PROPOSAL:

                     RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute an amendment to the crime victim services prosecutorial grant agreement, city contract no. 24641, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, with the Minnesota department of public safety, office of justice programs, to extend the term of the agreement by one year and accept additional grant funds in the amount of $80,154 for a total amount not to exceed $150,154 for the FY 24/25 victim services position, said funds to be deposited into fund no. 210-030-3126-4210-02 (Special Projects, Finance, Crime Victims Grant, Pass-Thru Federal Grants Operating).

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes acceptance of a $80,154 grant award from the Minnesota department of public safety, office of justice programs, to partially fund a .8 FTE victim services specialist position in the city attorney’s office for an additional year.  The victim services specialist works with prosecutors to improve victim services using a victim centered approach.
