RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A POLICE ENTERPRISE RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RMS) SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF HERMANTOWN TO PROVIDE THE HERMANTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCESS TO THE CITY OF DULUTH’S RMS FOR AN ANNUAL ESTIMATED FEE OF $21,356.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a police enterprise records management system (RMS) subscriber agreement, substantially in the form of the attached Document A, with the City of Hermantown, to provide authorized users in the Hermantown police department with shared access to appropriate RMS software and data for a period of three years and an automatic renewal option, with payment to the City of Duluth in the amount of $1,124 per user, with an estimated annual payment in the amount of $21,356.00, with revenue deposited into Fund 210-030-3206-4654 (Special Projects Fund, Finance, Police Records Management System, Other Reimbursements).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with the city of Hermantown, to provide the Hermantown police department with limited, shared access to the RMS software and associated data. Hermantown will pay an annual fee of $1,124 per user, initially starting with 19 users, for an estimated annual fee of $21,356. RMS is an integrated criminal justice information system recently implemented by the Duluth Police Department for the creation and storage of law enforcement data.
