CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into a contract with BP Builders for construction of the Chester Bowl Chalet Reconstruction project for an amount not to exceed $3,254,735.00, payable from 205-130-1220-5520-CM205-CHSTER-MMPIMP (Parks Fund-Community Resources-Parks Capital-Buildings & Structures- Cap Mtce Fund 205, Chester Park, Chester MMP Park Implementation)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with BP Builders for the construction of the Chester Bowl Chalet Reconstruction project for an amount not to exceed $3,254,735.00. Two items were deducted from base bid.
Construction cost will be paid for with funds from the Environmental and Natural Resources Trust Fund grant, Chester Bowl Improvement Club contributions, and Parks Capital.
The Purchasing Department issued an invitation to bid for the project on February 24, 2026 and received the five responses below. BP Builders was the lowest responsible and responsive bid.
