CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with St. Louis County, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, to perform road maintenance striping in 2026 at various locations in the City of Duluth. 

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a cooperative agreement with St. Louis County for the 2026 Townships and Cities Maintenance Striping Program. St. Louis County is bidding a large striping project, and the City is adding work into their bid package to achieve a savings of scale.  St. Louis County will be responsible for project solicitation, contract administration, and vendor payments. The City of Duluth Street Maintenance Department will direct and oversee all work to be performed. This agreement will also increase the capacity of Street Maintenance to perform other necessary maintenance projects for the City.

 

The City’s cost is estimated to be $103,964, payable from 290-500-5535 (street system maintenance utility fund, Public Works and Utilities, non-capital improvements).
