Title

RESOLUTION APPROVING DEDA RESOLUTION 22D-18 AUTHORIZING FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH JAMAR COMPANY FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE MRO.

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Resolution 10-0229, the City Council approves DEDA Resolution No. 22D-18 authorizing a first amendment to the agreement with JAMAR Company for facilities service and maintenance of the Maintenance, Overhaul and Repair (MRO) facility at Duluth International Airport, increasing the amount thereof by $68,400.75.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The purpose of this resolution is to approve of an amendment to the agreement between DEDA and JAMAR Company for facilities services and maintenance of the MRO building at the airport.

DEDA originally entered into an agreement with Jamar for maintenance of the MRO facility in 2019.  That contract terminated on July 30, 2021, but the building continued to need on-going maintenance and operation and Jamar continued to provide these services.  DEDA is now contemplating that Cirrus will be leasing the building on a short-term basis until mid-2023.  DEDA needs to compensate Jamar for services received and continue those services until Cirrus takes over.  This amendment would extend the maintenance agreement through April 30, 2022.
