CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to amend agreement L30521 with LHB, Inc. for professional landscape architectural and coastal engineering services for the Brighton Beach project as detailed in the attached proposal as Exhibit A, and to increase the amount by $24,800.00 for a new total amount not to exceed $453,797.00, payable from fund 450-030-5535-CP450-20BOND-BBEACH (capital improvements, finance, non-capital improvements; capital projects - other fund contributions, city & state bonds 2020, Brighton Beach).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends agreement L30521 with LHB, Inc. by $24,800.00. Additional coastal engineering services were requested to further enable and protect trail access to the beach at both the western entrance and near the pavilion. These services include coordinating with the contractor for selection and placement of materials, oversight of shoreline grading, and construction administration.
Funding for this agreement comes from both City bonding and State of Minnesota bonding awarded in 2020 for coastal protection and revitalization of Brighton Beach.
